REVELATION, A WAY, A TRUTH: JESUS CHRIST "Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches" (Revelation 1:19-20). The Revelation of Jesus Christ to John for the church represents confirmation and the certainty of glory, victory and faithfulness of the One who will complete every promise; "For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" (Revelation 19:10). The mystery is a message for the church still today. The mystery is Jesus Christ, "the Way, the Truth and the Life". "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14). As at all times, even in this, every person wants to accredit their own truth; and so, even among us, "other gospels" often arise, come in and thrive, the result of trade-offs or personal vainglory. But there is only one Way, one Truth: Christ, without whom "no one comes to the Father" (John 14:15). Many say they are Christian, they speak of Christ, but in reality they have never met him, they have never known him and the Cross has never radically transformed their lives. "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:31). The truly free men are the church, those who have truly known Christ, men and women who are part of the royal priesthood of Christ, those who make up the Body of Christ and are the bride. "The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come". And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price" (Revelation 22:17). To God Be The Glory.
