The way: Jesus Christ, our Saviour

the way is Jesus Christ, our Saviour“I am conscious of my thoughts about you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope at the end... and you will be searching for me and I will be there, when you have gone after me with all your heart."(Jeremiah 29: 11-13). "We had all gone astray," humanity was adrift, without any lifeline, without hope. In Love deepest of all human knowledge, God has provided a Way out, a divine plan called Christ Jesus. " He took up our infirmities and has carried our sorrows ... But it was for our sins he was wounded, and for our evil doings he was crushed: he took the punishment by which we have peace, and by his wounds we are made well."(Isaiah 53: 4-5). Glory to God for drawing us to the cross even before the dawn of time (Psalm 139: 16), our lives, our illnesses, our sufferings, our days, our families, our children,  our work, our home, everything has been made possible and bought at the cost of the blood of the only Son of God, donated for the redemption of the people of God. "It is all done" (John 19:30). "For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things. " (Romans 11:36). Yesterday as today, it is He that takes care of us, He that grants ours hearts peace, as well as healing and relief to our bodies. He is the way, the truth that leads to eternal life. A way has been provided, the way is Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

He must increase, but I must decrease

He must increase, but I must decreaseLord "... Therefore, I pray that I may know you and in so doing find grace in your sight" (Exodus 33:13). "Now this is eternal life, that they know that you are the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent" (John 17: 3). In the past millennia, the only treasure man had was to know God. Even today, the only treasure man has is to know God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God (... ). And the Word was made flesh and lived amongst us ... "(John 1: 1-14). "And behold, I am with you always, even until the end of the world. Amen" (Matthew 28:20). Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14: 6). Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, we need a greater consecration, more prayer, to know more, for faith, for revelation and to experience the immense depth of Christ and this love that surpasses all human knowledge. Rooted in and built up on the cornerstone  Jesus Christ. Therefore, "He must increase, but I must decrease" (John 3:30).

I prayed to God but he did not answer. What must I do?

God always answersGod always answers; and the answer may be yes, no or wait. When we pray we expect an immediate response according to our reasoning. But God is in heaven and we are on earth and often (indeed, almost always), we do not have a sense of the divine, the eternal. What then: 1) We try on our own and verify the request made. For example,  Lord I want to be rich, attractive and want the latest model of luxury car; do not expect an answers, it is a prayer of convenience, in fact demonstrates a distancing from the Gospel; a positive response could be  detrimental to your spiritual life. "You ask, but do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your pleasures" (James 4:3 ).  2) Do we live a life consistent with the Gospel? Are we are in communion with God and close enough to Him, to talk to him with open-hearted intimacy? 3) Did we pray with faith? that is, believing that He hears us, and according to His plans will intervene for our own good? Or did we pray thinking "I knew that You would not intervene but I wanted to try”. 4) Our prayers were perseverant? Take an example from Jacob: Lord "I will not let you go until you have blessed me" (Genesis 32:26).

What must I do? Examined and verified as above, return to pray at the feet of Christ, persevere and have faith; "Jesus said to her, have I not  said that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?" (John 11:40).

Why do we suffer?

Why do we suffer?Often we suffer because we are in the wrong place, we are at the center of attention instead of Christ. We continue to say me, me, me.. our objectives, our desires are egocentric … instead Christ teaches us (the sermon on the mount) “first seek the kingdom of God and His justice” (Matthew 6:33). “What does man seek if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?” (Mark 8:36). Man suffers his rebellion against God, his internal anarchy distances him from the warmth of Christ and he feels his soul icing inside him, suffers, but continues to follow his own ways which are not “the Way, the Truth, and the Life” indicated by Christ. Therefore, we need to return to the source, to the Creator of heaven and earth, “the need for Him to grow and for me to diminish” (James 3:30), we need to return to the Gospel of Grace, to the Apostolic Gospel the real Bible and ask God to understand Him better, knowing that “faith comes from listening and listening is the way of the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

May the Lord bless us and may His peace accompany us every day of our lives.

Whatever happens, always.

Jesus calls your name“Know this, that, in the last days, shall come dangerous times. Men will be selfish, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers … unfaithful, slanderers, indulgent, unmerciful … lovers of pleasure more than of God, appearing to be godly but denying its power" (2 Epistle of St. Paul to Timothy, chapter 3). If this is what the Apostle Paul wrote two thousand years ago, where are we today? Every so often, someone appears  saying they have the date of the end of the world. We are not among those, because according to the Word of God, only He, who is the creator of heaven, earth and the universe, knows all things, and being also the Lord of time, he will decide that moment at the last moment and nobody else will know. However, we can say that these are the last times; these days we are living are the last days of the divine patience of God and of His mercy. Even today, although, it is the last moment before His coming for all ("universal call" to judgement) or of individual death ("individual call" to judgement), it is still the time of grace. It means that in a world immersed in suffering due to our own sin and our own wickedness, the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross continues to operate "that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:15). Times are terrible and man has sunken into the pain of that deadly poison, lethal, called sin. But God has shown His wonderful plan of redemption; an antidote has been provided: the blood of Christ shed on the cross is still powerful enough to save, heal, liberate, justify and sanctify. Whatever happens, never mind worldly things, the roads of the world lead to despair, come to Christ that has provided the Way of Truth that leads to eternal life. The first commandment is to love God with all your heart, with all your soul, mind and strength. We do not seek our own glory or the glory of men. "Seek  first the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 6:33) and the Lord will render your heart sweet and fill it with peace and surround you with peace; only then, will you be a peacemaker, an ambassador of Christ, an instrument of blessing to others. Whatever happens, our heart will not be scared; trust in the Lord, trust in Jesus who promised "I am with you always, until the end of the world. Amen "(Matthew, last chapter, last verse).
